What if Apple went even further upmarket with its iPhone 15 series which will be released next year? Mark Gurman, whose sources at Apple are often excellent, affirms that Apple could market an iPhone 15 Ultra. Like the Apple Watch Ultra, this new model would therefore be one of both material and price excess, beyond what is already done on the iPhone Pro Max.

Without further details at this point, we can only speculate. In terms of design, we can reasonably expect the use of a titanium frame, a resistant metal that is significantly lighter (and more expensive) than steel. This weight gain could for example make it possible to increase the thickness of the phone to accommodate a more capacity battery, and why not no longer have a protrusion for the cameras – which would fit with the arrival of a periscopic telephoto lens. We can also imagine a larger screen, reduced margins around the slab, the integration of Face ID under the screen, new optics, new sensors and new features…
