“Her Majesty The Queen tested positive for COVID-19 last night and is currently staying at Fredensborg Palace. The Queen’s activities this week have therefore been cancelled,” a press release read.
“Friday’s evening at Christiansborg Castle for Danish members of government, the Folketing (Danish parliament) and the European Parliament will take place with the Crown Prince and Crown Princess as hosts.”
The funeral of Elizabeth II on Monday was attended by 500 dignitaries from around the world, including French President Emmanuel Macron and his American counterpart Joe Biden.
