Created 12 years ago in Terrenoire, the Loire chain Pizza Cozy has just been voted “preferred take-out or delivered pizza brand” by Capital magazine.
“We tried to develop a unique concept”
It must be said that for a decade, the Pizza Cozy brand has gone far beyond the borders of the Loire. Present throughout the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region and even beyond, the brand now has 65 restaurants and employs more than 600 people.
So why this success and this beautiful distinction for the “pizza made in Sainté“? Its co-founder, Florent Mercier explains. “We really wanted to develop a unique concept that combines quality pizzas and efficient catering. With us, we have 100% fresh products and 95% of the ingredients come from France“.
Nearly 80 brands within a year
Among these French products, we find for example the pumpkin cream. “These are vegetables from our region that we work with in our central kitchen. And above all, I think we have pizzas that are at the right price. A very simple Margarita will be nine euros, while for a more elaborate pizza, with truffle cream, we will go up to fifteen euros. And by dint of insisting on this concept, it pays and we are happy“, smiles Florent Mercier.
The chain intends to continue its development, with 15 other Pizza Cozy stores that will open in 2023, in France.
