The Breaking Bad creator’s new series will be on Apple TV+

It’s a huge blow that Apple TV+ has just achieved. The streaming platform has just signed a two-year contract with Vince Gilligan, the creator of the acclaimed series breaking Bad and Better Call Saul.

A major new series from Apple TV+

This untitled project will star Rhea Seehorn, who plays Kim Wexler in Better Call Saul. Moreover, no less than eight renowned broadcasters had positioned themselves to obtain the rights to this project. In the end, it was Apple’s service that won the day, and it could cost it quite a bit. It is estimated that a budget of 15 million dollars will be allocated to each episode.

According Deadline, the links between Vince Gilligan, and the leaders of the Cupertino company, Zack Van Amburg and Jamie Erlicht, probably played in favor of Apple TV +. The latter had indeed collaborated with the filmmaker during several projects when they were at Sony Pictures.

Vince Gilligan also explained to our colleagues: “ And what a beautiful symmetry to find Zack Van Amburg, Jamie Erlicht and Chris Parnell! Jamie and Zack were the first two people to say yes to Breaking Bad all those years ago. They’ve built a great team at Apple, and my wonderful, long-time partners at Sony Pictures Television and I are thrilled to do business with them. »

After Ted Lasso and Severancewho distinguished themselves at the last Emmy Awards, Apple TV+ has a major new project that could convince new customers to take out a subscription. – Official App
