First images of the cases for Apple Watch Pro

Without waiting for Wednesday’s Keynote, props designers are already preparing for the new design of the Apple Watch “Pro”. The Chinese leaker UnclePan (who sometimes has good intuitions) today presents renderings of a shell for this new model allowing you to get a good idea of what the future case will look like.

UnclePan explains that if the standard Series 8 should not be entitled to change on the case side, that of the Pro version will have a new shape ” which is not square in the traditional sense “. In other words, the screen should be flatter, but the edges will not be as rough and square as those of recent iPhones and iPads, contrary to what many rumors last year wanted.

On the right side of the hull, we can discover the traditional hole for the digital crown and the single button of the watch. On the other, two spaces are in the place usually used to pass the sound of the speakers. However, they are surprisingly large and interestingly shaped: some see a hole in them for a possible additional button.

This idea of a second button is confirmed by leaker Sonny Dickinson, who has had some good tips in the past. He posted an image on Twitter of an accessory showing precisely where the second button would be. It’s hard to say what it will be used for as it is: maybe quick access to an app?

It is expected that the screen of this future Apple Watch Pro will be larger (7% more display compared to a 45 mm model), while the device would offer better autonomy as well as a case more resistant. According to UnclePan, old bracelets may not be compatible because of this new case format.
