But at 79, the singer made a big decision: to end his career. Guest on the waves of RTL this Friday, September 16, Serge Lama announced his retirement to take care of his health. “There comes a time when things stophe confided, sad but sure of himself. You should know that we get older, that my body makes me suffer a lot, that I have a lot of problems inherent to the passage of time and so there you have it, a moment ago you have to know how to stop rather than being stopped. So I decided it was over. It’s my last album.”
Ending this career, which began in 1964 in Parisian theaters, is a considered choice for Serge Lama. But it was with a heavy heart that he had to agree to change his life. “There is something that hurts, but at the same time, it is the respect of the public. I had the chance to be able to sing this album already, at almost 80 years old since I was still a man of voice, so it’s complicated to live up to what we have beenadded the singer on the airwaves of RTL.
