Synopsis of Causeway :
Lynsey (Jennifer Lawrence), an engineer in the army, during a mission in Afghanistan, was injured by an explosive device. Suffering from brain damage, she returned to the United States. She then began a painful and slow recovery during which she relearned to walk and to use her memory, with the support of a caregiver (Jayne Houdyshell). When she returns home to New Orleans, she must deal with painful memories.
Living with his mother (Linda Emond) despite their conflicting relationships, Lynsey wants only one thing: to find her job as an engineer. She then meets James Aucoin (Bryan Tyree Henry). Little by little, they support each other and keep each other company. James, too, suppresses his past.
