Apple’s first AR headset might just be called ‘Apple Reality Pro’

After a few weeks of silence, it is again about Apple’s ARVR projects. The firm is said to be working on at least three augmented reality and virtual reality headsets, under the code names N301, N602 and N421.

The first could even be launched under the name Apple Reality Pro (finally according to Mark Gurman of Bloomberg). This should compete with Quest Pro, which Meta plans to release soon (October?). The N602 could be based on the N301, and offered at a lower price. The N421 would be the augmented reality glasses that would arrive a little later.

Remember that the name Reality Pro precisely corresponds to trademarks that Cupertino has just filed recently (including Reality Processor, Reality Pro and RealityOne). According to the latest speculation/analysis, Apple should unveil its first headset in early 2023. This augmented reality headset should benefit from two processors, fifteen optical modules, two 4K micro OLED displays, Wi-Fi 6E, as well as its own App Store. Ultra premium, this accessory could well reach the 3,000 dollar mark…
