Apple’s 2023 iCar: a threat to automakers before it even exists

Many people around the world believed that Apple had given up on building its first car. However, the American technology giant is expected to offer the Apple iCar between 2023 and 2025. The information comes from a Hong Kong-based Apple analyst. The company aims to earn nearly $2 trillion with its exciting business plan. Apple’s augmented reality headset and Apple Car will bring a lot of business according to Ming-Chi Kuo, TF International Security.

Globally, all established automakers, such as Mercedes-Benz, BMW, Audi, Ford, Nissan, Toyota, and GM, are gearing up to compete in the new self-driving car marathon. Apple’s entry into the automotive world could overshadow already established automakers.

Ming-Chi Kuo sent a note to investors, informing them of the brand’s exciting new products, and the Apple Car is the star of future products. Apple expects to blow up the car market much like the iPhone did to the cell phone market in 2007. The iCar will provide strong competition to established brands like Tesla and Toyota.

Neither Apple nor Kuo gave details on when the iCar will be unveiled. It is important to note that Apple has almost all the necessary permits to operate a self-driving car in California, USA. It has more permits than Uber and other manufacturers in the American market. Tech and automotive specialists say the iCar is the worst-kept secret in town.

Other rumors have it that Apple is considering ties with McLaren’s Applied Technologies Group for its iCar. It has signed a non-disclosure agreement (NDA) with one of the South Korean battery manufacturers for lithium-ion batteries. These lithium-ion batteries will most likely be used in Apple’s iCar.
