iOS 16 and WatchOS 9 will land on your Apple devices – but not all – from September 12, with a slew of new features. Small recap.
Wednesday, September 7 was marked by Apple’s annual high mass: we are obviously talking about its famous keynote dedicated to iPhone 14 and 14+, accompanied by iPhone 14 Pro and 14 Pro Max. The event was also an opportunity to present three connected watches: the Apple Watch Series 8, Watch SE 2 and Watch Ultra.
These categories of devices run on one side on iOS and on the other on watchOS. Good news, Apple immediately revealed the date of deployment, in stable version, of the next software versions that are iOS 16 and watchOS 9. It’s simple: the two will land on Monday, September 12.
iOS 16: a slew of smartphones concerned
As a reminder, iOS 16 brings some interesting features, such as the famous customization of the lock screen (photo, font style, display of widgets), which we had already discovered in the public beta available since last July. . It will also be possible to delete or modify a message 15 minutes after it has been sent to iMessage, or to extract text from any video – one year after the photos. The Maps application is also improved with more detailed maps.

For its part, watchOS 9 will allow you to consult even more data (activity rings, heart rate zone, power, altitude), during your training sessions, but also to visualize your periods of REM, slow and deep with comprehensive sleep tracking.
